Andy Black Handyman is based in Poulsbo and serves most of Kitsap County. Below is the full list of cities we cover, grouped by where they sit relative to home base. We schedule by geography — your job slots into a route that already passes near you, which is part of why most projects book within a week.
The bulk of our weekly route is inside Poulsbo city limits. Central Poulsbo near downtown, the Liberty Bay waterfront, the streets up around the marina, and the North Kitsap subdivisions stretching toward Silverdale — that's the core of what we do. Same-week scheduling is usually possible for Poulsbo jobs.
Two coverage tiers across the county. Inner suburbs are part of the standard route — same pricing as Poulsbo. Outer suburbs are still regular stops; expect a small drive-time line item on the estimate when we're heading further out.
Standard scheduling, no separate trip charge. These are the cities we hit on most weeks.
Roughly 20 minutes south of Poulsbo and the second-largest chunk of our weekly route. Mix of newer subdivisions and established neighborhoods — common jobs are drywall, interior painting, fixture installs, and the punch-list work that piles up between bigger remodels.
About a 30-minute drive south. Older Bremerton homes lean toward door, trim, and repair work; the newer pockets toward East Bremerton get more TV mounting, cabinet refreshes, and Honey-Do batches. Usually paired with Silverdale or Port Orchard on the same route day.
A 20-minute hop east of Poulsbo, with the ferry to Edmonds at the edge of town. Mostly residential — newer subdivisions and waterfront homes — and the job mix runs to interior painting, trim, and small repairs we can knock out in a single visit.
The longest of the inner-suburb drives at about 40 minutes, so Port Orchard jobs get scheduled on full route days. Plenty of older homes that need real repair work, plus newer hillside neighborhoods where we do a lot of finish carpentry and exterior touch-ups.
Smaller North Kitsap communities and the outer Kitsap edges. Estimates may include a small drive-time line item; it's always shown up front.
Just east of Poulsbo on the Puget Sound. A small unincorporated community with a mix of older waterfront cabins and full-time residences — fixture swaps, drywall, exterior touch-ups, and door work make up most of what we do here.
Right next door to Indianola and an easy add-on to a Poulsbo or Kingston route day. Mix of older and newer homes, regular punch-list and repair work.
The far north tip of the Kitsap Peninsula. Occasional coverage — we'll head up there when we can batch it with a Kingston job the same day, since the drive is a real one.
Out on the Hood Canal side of the peninsula. Occasional coverage — usually paired with a Silverdale or Bremerton route day so the drive isn't a half-day round trip.
South of Port Orchard, toward the Pierce County line. Occasional coverage — we batch Olalla visits with Port Orchard work whenever we can.
East of Port Orchard along the water. Occasional coverage — usually scheduled on a Port Orchard route day so a single drive covers both stops.
Across the Agate Pass bridge from Poulsbo. Occasional coverage for jobs sized large enough to justify the trip, or for repeat clients we've worked with before. Same-week scheduling depends on what else is already on the route.
Tell us your city when you reach out. It helps us slot you into the next route day already heading your direction.
Drive-time charges (if any) are shown on the estimate up front. No surprise line items, no padded "fuel surcharges."
We schedule by direction so your job lands on a day we're already nearby. Most projects book within 3–7 business days.
For repeat clients or jobs that batch with work we already have, we'll go a bit past the listed cities. Worst case we'll point you to a handyman closer to you.
Include your city when you reach out — it helps us tell you the soonest route day we'll be in your area.
